I am one of very many who have Dr. Pepperberg to thank for the research she and her colleags have made for avian intelligents and their well being, Yes! Well being. So many good, and some great things she has uncovered with looking into how avians think and perceive the world as we humans do. Talking intellegently with a bird who understands your question and replies with theif feeling in the matter. Many others who have worked with the avian in understanding the psycic bond between bird and man. From what I have learned, A gray that reads the mind of it's caregiver in seperate enclosed rooms and has the ability to exercise, in the english language how they feel from your thoughts, is wonderfully incredible. My wife and I live with 4 rehomed avians and share the same home very happily together. All are eager to be together as one family. It is my humble opinion that my wife and I feel truly blessed with the love and child like devotion bestowed on us and each other from these wonderful personnalities. They are truly emppathic when we are upset, and do cheer us up to forget the unwanted emotions. We reciprocate as well and are rewarded by their tender touches and funny antics. I truely feel unhappy for those who do not know these priceless truths and more so for those who who have closed their emotions to even wonder about the joys of sharing your life with GODS creations on a companionship level. The best things in life are free, just open your heart to love and see who would like to get to know you. You may be surprized it's a bird, dog, cat, or? Give it a try.

I am very impressed with the efforts of the lab and Dr. Pepperberg to carry on with her ground-breaking research following the passing of Alex. I look forward to reading the future papers coming out of the lab. Thank you for continuing to keep us informed of her work.
