I haven't seen Milk, but this review makes me want to. It's funny, when I went to college I had every expectation of rallying in the streets for different causes, and while that did occur occasionally - especially after 9/11 and with Iraq - the energy wasn't the same, for better or worse. Great article (and thanks for including me)!

I wonder if people who rally and protest things change the minds of others almost by "force" or if by will. Do protesters strong-arm people into changing their minds?

I don't understand protesting in the streets over issues like this. If Harvey Milk had just lived his life behind his closed doors like everyone else does he would probably still be alive today.

Political activism movies like this one or even taking to the streets in rally or protest would never change my mind about something that is as innate as the very thing that they are marching about.
