When I was contacted by the Justice about this piece and told it was for "the graduation issue" I was clear that what I wanted to address was graduation. The brief discussion about finances was secondary. This is what I said in my email: "I really do feel, and hope that you will quote, that graduation is a time to put aside all differences and to celebrate the deepfelt happiness and pride that graduates and their families have at this time. I know the extraordinary interns that we have had at the Rose this year who are graduating are among the best I have ever worked with...."
