LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Technology makes plagiarism easier and more tempting

To the Editor:
Could the Internet and personal computers make plagiarism more tempting as a choice? When I was at Brandeis, writing of any kind-honest or not-had to be effected either by handwriting or typing. Now, one need only cut, paste, and, in another keystroke or two, lie.
Have your staff lose its computers and submit its material using only manual typewriters, Corrasable Bond paper and Liquid Paper as writing tools. I bet the plagiarism will perish from the paper then!
