LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Culture X included all

To the Editor: In "Culture X Ignores Largest Culture on Campus," (April 15 issue) Cindy Kaplan grossly misrepresents the intentions of the Culture X coordinators. We did not ignore anyone in planning, scheduling or performing this event for the hundreds of students who came to see it, many of whom would identify as observing Shabbat.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Voting for our rights

To the Editor: Every Tuesday morning I read through the Justice in order to stay current on campus affairs. One of the issues I've been following is the Student Bill of Rights, proposed by Jason Gray '10, Union president-elect. Jason is a good friend of mine, and he's revealed that the Student Rights and Responsibilities is long on responsibilities but severely lacking on rights.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Students must stand up to Aramark on egg policy

To the Editor: Our organization was happy to read the op-ed published in the Justice calling for Brandeis University to stop using eggs from caged hens. ("Chicken Run: Making cage-free eggs a priority for Brandeis," April 15 issue) As the op-ed stated, confining hens in barren wire cages is cruel and inhumane, and no socially responsible institution should ever support this form of animal cruelty.
